Inspection of the sealing gaskets or sealing system should be carried out at least once every six months: e.g. during normal plant maintenance.

Check the condition of the sealing gaskets and clean them if necessary. If there are signs of damage, replace the seal to prevent possible contamination of the bearing.

Also check that the lubricant is evenly distributed around the ring near the bearing. Make sure there is always a sufficient amount of lubricant on the tip of the seal.
